See you February 26!
Join us for a special documentary screening celebrating 50 years of the Claymont Community Center. The film explores the building’s historic and unique role in the
Brown v. Board of Education case and traces the Center’s journey from its founding to its growth as a vital community hub over the past five decades.
A panel discussion moderated by Michele Anstine, Executive Director of DE Humanities will follow, providing the opportunity to hear guest panelists with a personal connection to the Center’s history share their perspective. Panelists include Joan Anderson, one of the original “Claymont 12” students who integrated the school; Allison David, CEO of Claymont Community Center and Saquan Stimpson, director of the documentary.
Popcorn and candy included with each ticket. We recommend this event for adults and children 12 and over. Dress code is casual or fancy or anywhere in between – you decide!
